The Pfizer campus on Tabor Rd. provides Laboratory Space for research and development as well corporate offices, company store and data center. Totaling over 1.5M square feet the campus encompasses two new buildings, two new four-story garages and four existing buildings.
COMMSULT coordinated with public utilities for pole relocations and underground feeds for the street widening project. A customer owned (8) manhole system connecting all the buildings was engineered and coordinated with Site / Civil Engineering Teams. The technology for the campus was designed for fully redundant self healing sonnet ring. In an effort to reduce the cost of power and cooling all voice, data, security and building automation shared the technology rooms and the fiber optic backbone connecting all buildings.
We designed all aspects of technology core and shell items for new buildings including carrier pathways into the buildings, POE Rooms, Technology Rooms, Riser Shafts, Conduit and Cable Tray. Building 185 was the first Pfizer building to use zone cabling. Zone cabling is a great way to achieve low cost moves, adds and changed for an end user who has a lot of internal churn. Provided value engineering for all technology disciplines for the Morris Plains Master Plan. Created construction IT bid package for all outside and inside cable infrastructure. Provided complete Project Management and field coordination throughout the three year project.
