Project Manager
Structured Cable Engineers
support the design,
acquisition, implementation,
maintenance, and
administration for the
structured cable
environment. Structured
Cable Engineers specialize
in voice and data cable
systems, pathways,
communication rooms, and
outside cabling plant. This
position works closely with
Senior Engineering in the
design phase to leadership
and guidance from more
experienced team members.
Qualified applicants are
expected to have a full
working knowledge of the
installation and maintenance
of structured cable systems.
Requirements:
• Candidate Must Have 3
years Experience in
Design/Engineering of
Structured Cabling Systems •
Posses Excellent Verbal and
Written Skills. • Candidate
Must Have Experience
Preparing RFP’s for
Structured Cable Pricing. •
Knowledge of standards such
as EIA/TIA, BICSI, ANSI,
NEC, etc... Building codes
and wiring requirements. •
Knowledge of inside and
outside cable infrastructure
standards for fiber and
copper campus systems. •
Experience (2+ years) and
knowledge in utilization of
project management and
documentation software
(e.g., Microsoft Word,
Excel, AutoCAD, Visio,
Project). • Experience (2+
years) and knowledge in
interpretation of building
construction, electrical,
and infrastructure
blueprints
Preferred Education: Some
College
AutoCAD Engineer
Knowledge of XREF, layering,
line drawings and elevations
in Auto CAD 2000, 2004 and
LT is a must. Candidates
would be expected to work
with internal technology
engineers in the creation of
Design Development,
Schematic layouts and
Construction Drawing sets.
Knowledge of fiber and
copper data transport
systems physical layer and
data center space planning
is a plus. Excellent verbal
and written skills,
knowledge and interpretation
of building construction,
electrical, and
infrastructure blueprints
are also a plus. Individuals
should be highly motivated,
organized, have excellent
AutoCAD skills, creative
aptitude and customer
service orientation.
IPT Technician/Level II/III
Position responsibilities
consist of overseeing and
carrying out of daily
Move/Add/Change/Delete
operational support through
Cisco Call Manager, Cisco IP
Telephony Peripheral
Applications and Octel voice
mail. Installation and
configuration of Cisco phone
devices and configurations.
This includes building
application mailboxes on the
Unity voicemail system.
Handling and support of
client trouble tickets and
associated diagnostics to
remedy problems. Resource
must assist in group project
rollouts which are performed
after normal business hours.
Must be familiar with Cisco
Call Manager Bulk
Administration Tool in order
to carry out large group
adds. Sustain inventory
control and maintenance.
Responsibilities also
include 24/7 monitoring and
tier 2-3 support for
production devices in the
event of any issues or
outages. 24/7 SLA ticketing
support. Maintaining and
confirmation of daily backup
of systems.
Must support and maintain
monthly backup schedule
consisting of drive
rotation. Support for
upgrade and patching of IPT
systems as they are
required. Remote
maintenance, administration
and support responsibilities
for multiple IP sites.
